Joe Root: England batsman rested for T20 and ODIs v Australia

The 24-year-old leading run-scorer in England during their 3-2 Ashes win, will miss the Twenty20 and five one-day internationals starting on August 31.
Essex uncapped left-arm pace bowler Reece Topley, 21, has been named in a 13-man T20 squad BBC.

Ali Moeen-road, rested for ODIs against New Zealand this summer, it has been recalled for both formats.

There is no place in any squad for Jonny Bairstow.
