‘Drishyam’ mints Rs 46.28 crore in opening week
New Delhi: Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat “Drishyam” starring Ajay Devgn, Taboo and Shriya Saran, has coined Rs.46.28 crore in its first week.
Posted on July 31, “Drishyam” the new official version of the eponymous Malayalam film, won a first weekend collection of Rs.30.03 million rupees net (Friday – Rs.8.5 crore, Saturday – Rs. 9.40 crore and Sunday – Rs.12.13 crore).
A steady stream of collection and also won footsteps, registering Rs.4.05 crore (Monday), Rs.4.50 crore (Tuesday), Rs.4.10 crore (Wednesday) and Rs.3.60 crore (Thurs ), totaling Rs.46.28 crore in seven days, read a statement from the flag of production. zeenews
The story of “Drishyam” revolves around a cable TV operator Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay), whose life revolves around movies and family; wife Nandini (Shriya) and daughters Anju and Anu. Tabu plays the role of the police IG Meera Deshmukh in the film.
