The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday suspended Mumbai batsman Hiken Shah with immediate effect for breaching its anti-corruption code. Shah allegedly approached his Ranji Trophy teammate, Praveen Tambe to fix matches. Tambe represents the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In a press release, the BCCI said, “He (Shah) was found guilty of breaching BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Code for participants. His involvement in any form of cricket, affiliated with the BCCI stands suspended till the time the disciplinary committee of the BCCI passes appropriate orders.”For detail Read on the original site.
Shah’s alleged involvement first came to light in the build-up to this year’s IPL edition, when Tambe reported the matter to his franchise and BCCI’s anti-corruption unit (ACU), which has been investigating the matter since.
